The Rescue Centre for handicapped and injured free-living wildlife in Třeboň is run by the non-profit organisation Český nadační fond pro vydru (Czech foundation for otters).

Any found animals are given first aid and, if necessary, also veterinary treatment and professional care. Healed animals are released back into the wild. The Český nadační fond pro vydru offers tours around the station and insights into individual animals´ stories, they organize environmental education programmes, lectures and exhibitions, and provide environmental advice and education for the general public.
